1. Who we are
Clavify (clavify.io) is a Dutch online course platform where entrepreneurs and freelancers learn to build and sell AI tools. Clavify is a trade name of Javaka, located at Ekelcamp 7, 5737 CL Lieshout, The Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce no. 42031123). Javaka is the data controller for the data processed on this platform. For questions about this privacy policy or your data, contact us at support@clavify.io.
2. What data we collect
We process the following personal data:
- Account details: your name and email address when you create an account. Our account system runs on Clerk (authentication provider).
- Learning progress: which lessons you have completed and your learning streak, linked to your account. This data is stored in our database (Supabase, servers in the EU).
- Payment details: payments are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see your card or bank details; we only store which product you purchased and the associated transaction reference.
- Contact details: if you use the contact form, we process your name, email address and message to answer your question (sent via Resend).
- Usage data: anonymized statistics about page visits (Vercel Analytics, cookieless). We only use Google Analytics if you consent to it via the cookie banner.
- Visit statistics: if you consent, we record which page you are viewing and when you were last active, linked to a random session identifier and — if you are signed in — to your account. We use this for our own live visitor view; this data is not shared.
3. Why we process this data
- To provide your account and access to purchased courses (performance of the contract)
- To track your learning progress, certificates and streaks (performance of the contract)
- To process payments and keep our records (legal obligation)
- To answer questions submitted via the contact form (legitimate interest)
- To improve the site based on anonymized statistics (legitimate interest, and for Google Analytics: your consent)
- To see how many visitors are on the site and which pages they view (your consent via the cookie banner)
- To keep you informed about new courses and tips by email (your consent, given at sign-up and withdrawable via the unsubscribe link in every email)
4. How long we keep your data
- Account details and progress: for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete the associated data within 30 days.
- Payment details: 7 years, due to the statutory tax retention obligation in the Netherlands.
- Contact messages: no longer than 2 years after resolution.
- Analytics data: Vercel Analytics is anonymized; Google Analytics data is kept for a maximum of 14 months.
- Visit statistics: a maximum of 90 days, after which we delete them automatically. If you delete your account, we remove the visit data linked to you immediately.
5. Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We only share it with service providers needed to run the platform: Clerk (accounts), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Resend (email), Klaviyo (email marketing) and — only with your consent — Google Analytics and Meta (Facebook/Instagram). For ad measurement, in that last case we share hashed (irreversibly encrypted) data such as your email address with Meta, so we can see which ads lead to a purchase. You can decline this via the cookie banner. Data processing agreements are in place with these parties. Some parties process data outside the EU; the EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply in those cases.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access, correct or delete your data
- withdraw your consent (for example for cookies) at any time
- object to processing or request restriction of processing
- receive your data in a machine-readable format (data portability)
- lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens)
Email your request to support@clavify.io — we respond within 30 days.
7. Security
All connections use HTTPS. Access to data is limited to what is strictly necessary, we never store passwords ourselves (Clerk stores them encrypted) and payment details never touch our systems.
8. Cookies
Which cookies we use and how to decline them is explained in our cookie policy.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page, with the date at the top.
